The horizon changes all day. Roughly every two hours a new sign rises, which is why twins born an hour apart can have different lagnas, and why a forgotten clock ruins the chart more thoroughly than a forgotten favourite colour. The Sun stays in a sign for about a month. That slower fact is what newspaper horoscopes use, usually in the tropical zodiac besides.

If you want this site to talk about you, bring the time as the family wrote it, and the city. The engine converts with the timezone offset you give it. India is five and a half hours, and that is the default, and it is wrong for a birth in Dubai or in London. Change the offset. Do not let a default lie about the ascendant.

Janma rashi, the Moon sign, is the third fact, and it is the one transits and dashas hang from. Three facts. None of them is your identity. All of them are astronomy plus a named tradition of reading.
