Pocket Pandit processes personal data as a Data Fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”). Spiritual context (birth details, family memory, ritual progress, and conversational state) is treated as sensitive personal context and handled with strict purpose limitation and data minimisation.
This page summarises how we meet DPDP expectations alongside our Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict, the Privacy Policy and applicable law control.
Personal data is processed only to deliver panchang, muhurtham, charts, ritual continuity, and account services you request. We do not sell spiritual or birth data.
You may access, correct, and erase personal data associated with your account. Website chart inputs are ephemeral. App memory can be cleared in-product or via our data deletion path.
We minimise collection, discard ephemeral voice segments after recognition, and retain account data only while needed for the service or as required by law.
India-facing users can reach our Grievance Officer for DPDP and IT Rules requests. We aim to acknowledge and resolve complaints within statutory timelines.
Pocket Pandit accounts are for adults aged 18 and over. Details of family members, including children, are entered by the adult account holder, who confirms they are the parent or lawful guardian, or otherwise entitled to share them. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to hold an account. See our Child Safety & Age policy.
