Dhanishta, the drum

Dhanishta is the richest drum. The Vasus are the deities usually named. Rhythm, wealth that moves, and a procession.

The drum is the symbol, and the Vasus, a group of gods associated with light and wealth, are the deities. Music, a procession, money that is meant to circulate rather than sit in a trunk: these are the associations a working pandit will actually use.

Wealth as a birthright is the association a working pandit should refuse to promise. Dhanishta does not appoint a treasurer. It names a mansion the Moon crossed. If your family business does well, the reasons are mostly in the shop.

For a muhurtham of purchase, especially of things that move, some lists like this star. The vehicle event on this site can be asked on a Dhanishta day and will still reject the hour if Rahu kalam covers it.
