Community Guidelines
Fostering a sanctuary of sincere learning, cultural pride, and spiritual devotion
1. Mutual Reverence for All Sampradayas
Sanatana Dharma encompasses immense philosophical diversity: Smarta, Vaishnava, Shaiva, Shakta, Ganapatya, and countless regional household traditions. Pocket Pandit recognizes all established Shastric traditions as valid paths. We expect our community members to approach differing rituals and viewpoints with humility and mutual reverence.
2. Genuine Inquiry vs. Malicious Disparagement
Curiosity and deep questioning are foundational to our Upanishadic tradition. We encourage users to ask tough historical and Shastric questions (e.g. “Is this story actually in the Purana?” or “Where did this custom originate?”). However, prompts designed to demean sacred deities, generate obscene parody of mantras, or incite communal animosity violate our guidelines.
3. Zero Discrimination
Pocket Pandit is your personal Pandit regardless of background, heritage, or geographic location. In the words of the Rigveda: “Ano bhadrah kratavo yantu vishwatah” (Let noble thoughts come to us from every side).
